Adult Writing Courses and Coaching

Our adult writing courses are taught in an interactive, collaborative workshop-style setting, with a minimum of six and maximum of fifteen participants per course. We offer creative writing workshops, as well as professional writing workshops and writing courses for people who just want to explore their creativity and write as a hobby.

We welcome students from every walk of life and at every stage of the writing process. Our writing courses provide a mix of inspiration to help you generate new ideas, instruction to help you hone skills, and feedback to give you encouragement and guidance. We will be adding more adult writing workshops and courses as we grow.

If you prefer to work with an instructor one-on-one, or you have specific goals for your writing, a writing coach can tailor sessions to meet your own project and needs--whether that is honing your creative skills or learning to write in a professional context. Please contact us to see if a writing coach might work for you.

Morning, Writers!

Classroom Hours: 40 minutes
Price: Free/Donation

Session I: October 17- December 1 Weekdays (Monday-Fri) 7 a.m.- 7:45 a.m.

Virtual

Having trouble getting your morning pages written? Or just plain making time for writing? How would it be, first thing in the morning, just to sit down and get it done? Starting the day off writing establishes an important priority, orients you in a creative direction and just plain feels good. This class is not really a class, in the sense that there will be no instruction. We’ll just be here every weekday morning to create inspiration, space and community for shared accountability and creativity. You’ll log in, share your writing goals for the day in the chat, have 30 minutes of dedicated writing time, and at the end, we’ll share in the chat how we fared.  In the spirit of community, this course is offered freely, although we will humbly and gratefully accept donations to keep it running.

Professor Zweizig helped me to understand the material and got me to think, so that I realized I had the power to understand literature and writing on my own. She was extremely accommodating and taught me not only about poetry but kindness. She is an excellent professor
