College Essay for the Win
Classroom Hours: 6
Session I– Fall Break Session: October 8-10, Sat/Sun/Mon; 3 p.m.-5 p.m.
Session II– Tuesdays October 11, 18 & 25, 5-7 pm.
The College Common App essay incorporates many principles of good writing—effective introductions, story-telling, compressing and expanding narrative, and writing with vivid detail. This class teaches these skills and gives students an opportunity to practice them as they work toward writing that perfect college essay. Students develop a rough draft and some solid writing skills they can use for a lifetime.
Enrollment for this course is capped at 6 students per session.
- We will refund Tuition, minus a $25 handling fee, if you email a cancelation request to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than 14 days before the first Course session. If you cancel later than 14 days before the first Course session, you forfeit Tuition.
- No refunds, credits or rescheduling will be given or made for any individual class sessions missed.
- No refunds will be given for students who do not finish the class for any reason.
- District Writers’ Academy reserves the right to cancel a class. If this is necessary, participants will be notified via email prior to the first day of the class, and participants who have already paid will be given a full refund, or credit toward another class. This credit must be used within one year of the original payment.
