Get a head start on the school year with this class, which teaches the basic skills of academic paper writing: prewriting, formulating effective thesis statements and topic sentences, writing with specificity, organization and paragraph development, transitions, incorporating quotes and research. If your student is struggling with writing or hasn’t received much focused writing instruction, this class will provide the fundamentals. All students receive a comprehensive course handbook with resources they can use well after the course ends.
